(Hardcastle Crags, near Halifax, Yorkshire)Did you know that the UK is one of the least wooded parts of Europe with only 12% woodland compared to a European average of 44%? Or that an incredible 85% of Britian's ancient woodland has no protective designation.
Isn't that really sad? The Woodland Trust is a charity that fights to preserve the UK's native woodland and thus precious wildlife habitats.
