DVD night: Joyeux Noel (2005)

A beautiful and moving film based on real life events. On Christmas Eve 1914 a totally spontaneous, unofficial truce takes place in no man's land between the Scots, French and Germans. In those precious hours the horrors of one of the bloodiest wars was forgotten and came together as human beings, sharing photographs of wives and girlfriends, sharing coffee and wine, even managing a game of football.

I don't know why this movie isn't more well known? Dare I whisper that it could be perhaps of its clear anti-religion message.
