TV viewing : Meet the Romans

I'm so enjoying the 3 part series looking at ancient Rome, Meet the Romans. Written and presented by Professor Mary Beard she enthusiastically introduces to the teeming ancient city of Rome. What makes this different from other classical documentaries is that the main focus is on the ordinary people - how they lived (mostly in high rise apartment blocks),ate and spent their daily lives (baths, bars, public toilets etc.). Earthy and fascinating. Go check it out.
