Cheese pairing

 I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than to sit in a nice hotel and take part in a cheese pairing session. 5 generous pieces of cheese accompanied by sometimes surprising drinks - for instance I would never have paired a beer with a Stilton but it worked wonderfully.

Delicious, interesting, informative and most of all - immensely fun. I would definitely recommend another such event.
Anyway, here were this evening's parings.

  1. Robiola with a glass of Trebbiano di Romagna
  2. Taupiniere with a glass of Mad Fish Sauvignon Semillon (Australia)
  3. Comté with a glass of Gia Sur (Chile)
  4. Stilton Traditional with Leeds Hell Fire (a local beer)
  5. Stinking Bishop with Aspall Blush (cider)
