Cornwall 2017

Our family holiday this year was spent in a cute little village in Cornwall called Portreath. The location was perfect for exploring the south of Cornwall and was literally a couple of minutes stroll from a beautiful little beach.

As usual, we packed in loads of sightseeing and activities. In future I must plan a couple of free rest days. Here are a few of our photos.

For me, it was unusual to see all the little palm trees growing. Exotic for the UK!

Highlight -  hike along the coastal path. Just round the corner from Godrevy Lighthouse, an amazing view of sunbathing seals. I sat and watched them for ages. So glad I packed binoculars.
Tintagel - the village.

Seal Island boat trip from St Ives.

Padstow - gourmet Cornwall

Walking under the giant rhubarbs of Trebah Garden - well worth a visit, also has private beach.

Poldark land - picturesque copper mines.

Botallack copper mine. I watched all of Poldark season 1 before the holiday!
